Along the top there are tabs that will lead you to pages to look at areas of law. There are also specific tabs for units in the BTEC Certificate and Subsidiary Diploma Applied Law course. Over the duration of the year the page will grow with more information and documents that will help you learn and progress through the year successfully.
A Level Law Examinations
The OCR course has three examinations at the end of two years. After the first year of study there will be progression exams which need to be passed to continue into the second year of the course. If you fail the progression exam, then there will be an opportunity to resit the exam to proceed into the second year of study.
Paper 1 - The Legal System and Criminal Law - 100 marks - 2 hours long
Paper 2 - Law Making and Tort Law - 100 marks - 2 hours long
Paper 3 - Nature of Law and Human Rights/Contract Law - 100 marks - 2 hours long
BTEC Applied Law Units
The BTEC Applied Law course ran by Edexcel and Pearson will be staying the same for one more year. The units we will be teaching are below:
Unit 1 - Dispute Solving in the Legal System
Unit 2 - Understanding Law Making
Unit 3 - Aspects of Legal Liability
Unit 4 - Unlawful Homicide and Police Powers
Unit 5 Aspects of Property Offences and Police Powers
Unit 8 - Aspects of Law of Tort
